The Initiative for Trust and Transparency in Cybersecurity (ITTC) is excited to announce a major milestone in our mission to strengthen cybersecurity trust across the digital ecosystem. We're honored to welcome five exceptional leaders to our Advisory Board: Tod Beardsley, Jerry Gamblin, Mark Dalton, Jim Richberg and Michael Daniel.
These distinguished technology professionals bring decades of combined experience from the frontlines of cybersecurity — from vulnerability disclosure to policy innovation and threat intelligence sharing. Their diverse perspectives will help shape ITTC's work toward a more transparent and trustworthy security landscape. These industry leaders will help steer the organization as it identifies research topics and develops content.
Tod Beardsley, VP of Security Research at runZero, brings deep expertise in coordinated vulnerability disclosure and a unique perspective from his previous role as Cyber Security Section Chief at CISA, where he helped shape national approaches to vulnerability management.
Mark Dalton, Senior Policy Director for Technology and Innovation at the R Street Institute, leads critical work at the intersection of technology policy and cybersecurity. His strategic insights, honed during his leadership at the U.S. Naval Undersea Warfare Center, will help bridge the gap between technical innovation and practical policy solutions.
Jim Richberg, Head of Cyber Policy and Global Field CISO at Fortinet, offers unparalleled expertise from both the private sector and his distinguished government service as the U.S. National Intelligence Manager for Cyber, where he guided cyber intelligence strategy across the Intelligence Community’s 17 departments and agencies.
Jerry Gamblin, Founder of RogoLabs, is an industry-recognized threat detection expert with years of experience directing transformative security projects. Having worked at leading cyber and technology companies throughout his career, Jerry brings key vulnerability management insights to the board.
Michael Daniel, President & CEO of the Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA), brings the invaluable perspective of collaborative threat defense and public-private partnership. His role as Special Assistant to the President and Cybersecurity Coordinator on the National Security Council from 2012 to 2017 provides him with crucial insights into building trust at the highest levels of security leadership.
What unites these remarkable leaders is a shared belief: transparency isn't just about disclosure — it's about empowering action. Real progress comes from transforming information into practical tools that defenders can use every day. Whether through clearer vulnerability advisories, stronger industry coordination, or more effective security outcomes, their guidance will help ITTC turn the promise of transparency into tangible improvements for organizations worldwide.
As we work together to address critical challenges — from CVE system strain to the complexities of modern vulnerability disclosure — these advisors will ensure our efforts remain grounded in real-world needs while pushing toward ambitious goals.
